Batjo Extensions

This new release contains addresses two issues, which could lead to unnecessary requests. Also a bug in the message delimiter has been fixed. We've also included a new option in the module parameters which let you hide the send button which should result in less spam in your shoutbox. The shoutbox component (not the module) has been updated to version 1.2 which has an important bug fix for an LFI (local file inclusion) exploit. Everyone is advised to update the component to version 1.2.

After quite a while, the long awaited new release of the Shoutbox Pro is ready. This version has a great new feature: a high performance option. Some users noted that on a shared webhosting the shoutbox can be a bit too heavy and with this new option we fixed it! Instead of loading the complete Joomla! framework for each AJAX request, we just load the relevant query without the Joomla! framework, resulting in much less CPU usage. However, there is one downside: you'll lose the ability to use smilies and bbcode (because the framework is not loaded). We're thinking about a fix for this in the next version. You can find the high performance option in the advanced module parameters.
This release also includes a bug fix for the phpBB3 avatars. You'll need the latest version of the Rokbridge use the avatar function.

As you might have guessed from the title I'll be in Dublin for the coming 2 weeks. I was offered an opportunity to work at the university in the same field as my master thesis will be so it's a nice introduction. Support will be a bit slower than normal but I'll be checking in on the forum and email once in a while.
At the same time here's a little update for the next version: phpBB avatars will work correctly, sef issue will be fixed, live counter for latest message and message can be added to the bottom. Expect an update after I get back!
