Before you purchase the shoutbox Pro for Joomla! 1.0 please make sure that the free version runs without any problems on your server. Because both the free version and the pro version are based on the same technique they will suffer from the same issues. If you have have some questions you can e-mail me or drop your question in the forums.

Please also note that since Joomla! 1.0 has default no UTF-8 output there may be some problems with special characters. You can try to fix this problem by opening your language file and change DEFINE('_ISO','charset=****'); to DEFINE('_ISO','charset=utf-8');. Again if it's not working for you in the free version DO NOT purchase the Pro version since it will have the same problems. If you have these encoding problems see the forum for solutions.
